The Administrative Team at The Seton Keough High School consists of the President, Principal, and Assistant Principal. In accordance with the Declaration of Trust for The Seton Keough High School, setting school policy is the responsibility of the School Board, and implementation of policy and establishing procedures is the proper role of the school administrators.
THE PRESIDENT is the Chief Executive Officer of the school responsible for its religious tone, educational direction, and financial viability. She receives her appointment from the Archbishop of Baltimore and is responsible to the Board of Trustees. The president assists and fosters a religious spirit in accordance with the Mission Statement of the school. She directs the public relations of the school and officially represents Seton Keough herself, or through her delegate, at conferences with organizations and in appropriate community matters. She is the school's liaison with the Archdiocese. She delegates responsibilities among other major administrators and works to assist and facilitate their work for the life and growth of the Seton Keough community. Reporting directly to her are the Principal, The Director of Finance, the Administrative Assistant for Development, and the Director of Admissions.
THE PRINCIPAL is the Chief operating officer of the school and receives his appointment from the Archbishop of Baltimore and reports directly to the President. He assists and fosters a religious spirit in accordance with the Mission Statement of The Seton Keough High School. The Principal serves as the primary facilitator for all programs and services directly affecting the student. Reporting to the Principal are the Assistant Principal, Department Chairpersons, Director of Guidance, Director of the Educational Media Center and Administrative Assistant.
THE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL receives her appointment from the Principal and reports directly to the Principal. She is part of the AdministrativeTeam and assists in fostering a religious spirit throughout the school in accordance with the Mission Statement of The Seton Keough High School. Her major responsibilities lie in the area of student services. She manages disciplinary policies and procedures, supervises student attendance, and approves student activities.
THE ACADEMIC COUNCIL is chaired by the Principal and composed of the Assistant Principal, Department Chairpersons and Textbook Coordinator. Its purpose is to evaluate and develop curriculum and review academic matters.
The ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL is chaired by the Assistant Principal and composed of the Athletic Director, Council for Student Government Moderator(s), and four elected Faculty Representatives. The Council for Student Government President may attend Administrative Council meetings when agenda items pertain to student interests. Any student may arrange to bring a proposal before the Administrative Council provided it represents the thinking of at least 10% of the student body, and has the support of the Council for Student Government. The Administrative Council submits all recommendations to the Administrative Team for final approval. The Council meets as the need arises.
The staff consists of fully qualified religious and lay men and women. The religious communities serving The Seton Keough High School are the Daughters of Charity, Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart, the Mission Helpers of the Sacred Heart, and The School Sisters of Notre Dame.
