High School Placement Test
The HSTS High School Placement Test is a standardized entrance test, designed for eighth graders. It is used nationwide. Like any standardized test, the HSPT is approximately three hours in length and is designed to measure general eighth grade knowledge. Students do not need to study for this test. Catholic High schools in Baltimore will be offering this test on Saturday December 3, 2011.
This test is required of any student applying to Catholic high schools in Baltimore.
Students: You will be asked to rank your top three choices for high school on the day of the test. It is strongly encouraged that you take the test at your first choice school.
Be honest about your choices. Academic Scholarships are based on the school’s entrance exam (HSPT) and teacher/principal recommendations. No formal application needs to be submitted. Only students that list Seton Keough as their first choice will be considered for scholarships.
