Congratulations on your admittance to The Seton Keough High School.  You were part of one of the largest and most competitive applicant pools in recent history. Now that you are admitted, what’s next?

Seton Keough sends out a weekly e-newsletter to parents and guardians. Simply email Jane Ponton, Director of Communications, at jponton@setonkeough.com to be added to the distribution list. You may add multiple email addresses. The school uses email to send out weekly updates, important reminders, and information about emergencies and school closings.

Summer Camps
Seton Keough has sports camps in lacrosse, field hockey, basketball, volleyball, and soccer. See the Summer Camps web page for complete details and to register:

Fall Sports
Tryouts for fall sports teams begin the week of Aug. 16. Pratices begin immediately after tryouts. See the Fall Sports Tryout web page for complete details about tryout dates, times, and eligibility.

Mark Your Calendars Now for Next Fall
The school calendar for the 2010-11 is not completely finalized. When it is final it will be posted to the Seton Keough web site and sent out via email. However, please mark your calendars now for the following dates:

  • Fall Sports Tryouts begin the Week of Mon., Aug. 16. Please plan your summer vacations accordingly. Practices begin immediately after tryouts. Note: any student trying out for a fall sport must have a physical and present a copy of the physical at the time of tryouts.
  • Freshman Orientation: Wed., Aug. 25 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sophomore Orientation: Thurs., Aug. 26 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
  • Junior Orientation: Thurs., Aug. 26 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Senior Orientation: Thurs., Aug. 26 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon
  • First Day of School: Tues., Aug. 31-Full Day
  • Opening School Liturgy: Fri., Sept. 10 at 8:45 a.m.
  • Freshmen Mother's Welcome Tea: Sun., Sept. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m.
  • Homecoming Festival: Sat., Sept. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Homecoming Dance: Sat., Sept. 18 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Health Forms
All students NEW to Seton Keough are required to have a physical, immunization record, and consent for Over the Counter medications form completed and on file in the Nurse’s office. All health forms are available for download from the Health Information web page. Note: any student trying out for a fall sport must have a physical and present a copy of the physical at the time of tryouts, which begin in mid-August.

Uniforms, Schedules, and Books

  • Uniforms: Uniforms are to be purchased through Flynn O’Hara Uniforms Inc., www.flynnohara.com. To see what the Seton Keough uniform looks like and to read about the uniform policies please see the Uniform Policy web page.
  • Schedules: Schedules will be mailed in mid-summer. Please do not purchase books until you have your schedule.
  • Books: Purchase your books online via the Seton Keough online bookstore: Seton Keough Online Bookstore. The Seton Keough book list for the 2010-11 school year is now available.
