Honoring the Life of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton

The year 2009 marks the bicentennial anniversary that St. Elizabeth Ann Seton founded the first religious order for women and laid the foundation for Catholic education in the United States. The Sisters of Charity and Daughters of Charity have a number of events planned to mark this special anniversary. Please visit the Seton Legacy Bicentennial web site at: www.setonlegacy.org.

Seton Keough's Art Department Chair, Mrs. Myra Perel, was commissioned to create a mural to honor St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. After taking hundreds of photos at Emmitsburg, at the Mother Seton House on Paca Street, and at Seton Keough High School a photo mural of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton was created. The mural was the feature of a window at the Pratt Main Library on Cathedral Street.
