Try-Out Information

Eligibility for All Athletes

  1. In the state of Maryland all athletes are required to have physicals annually. Any student trying out for a sport must have a current physical on file in the Health Suite prior to the try out date. Any athlete who does not have a properly dated and signed Seton Keough physical form will not be permitted to try out.
  2. Returning students' academic eligibility will depend on the fourth quarter grades of the previous year. The student-athlete handbook requires all students to stay in good academic standings. No student-athlete may have a failing grade or more than one grade lower than C.
  3. Due to the rising cost of equipment, official fees, transportation and other necessary athletic needs each athlete will be required to pay a $100 participation fee per sport, with a family maximum of $250 for the year.
