Welcome From Principal Calamari
Dear Friends in Christ:
Welcome Back to a New Year which promises to be filled with great excitement and many blessings. The first day of School went extremely well. The girls were excited and handled the heat very well. It was so good to hear the joyful sounds of young voices in the halls. This is one of the many blessings I will be grateful for this year.
The first day of school did provide some challenges. Traffic posed a problem and we are working with Andrea at Traffic Control to see if we can have the timing on the lights changed to provide a longer span of time to enter the campus. Hopefully that will improve the situation for all. I ask for your patience as we work things out.
I want to thank the teachers, staff, students, and families of the Seton Keough High School Community for making me feel so welcome, for offering me their insights, and for sharing their enthusiasm with me these past few weeks. You are all blessings and I am truly appreciative for the gifts you bring to our school. It is going to be a great year!
Have a blessed week,
Angela Calamari
Welcome from Vice Principal Mary Huntt
Greetings! It has been an absolute pleasure to meet and talk with so many of you over the course of the last week or so (was I really only hired 10 days ago?!). As I've said so many times, it is wonderful to be back at Seton Keough. My career actually began at Archbishop Keough 30 years ago this month and spanned the next 18 years. During that time, I experienced many special milestones in this school, including the merger of Seton and Keough; but there has never been a time that has felt more exciting and optimistic than the present. As I write this, we are nearing the end of our first day of school anddespite the hideous heatthere is a sense of energy and enthusiasm that is really contagious. I look forward to working in partnership with each of you and I am confident that this new school year will be the beginning of something very special.
Best wishes,
Mary Huntt
Traffic Concerns
We are very aware of the traffic problems re: student drop-off in the mornings and we are working on a solution that should be in place by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. In addition to ammending the traffic pattern on the school property itself, we are working with Baltimore City to get the timing of the traffic lights re-set on Caton Avenue in the front of the school. Thank you for your patience as we address this issue.

School Supplies Needed for Outreach
Here we are at the beginning of another school year already!!! The Social Outreach Committee is asking for your help once again this year; we need school supplies. While you are out purchasing supplies for your daughters please consider purchasing a few extra items.
We are in need of paper, pens, pencils, index cards, highlighters as well as folders and notebooks. In past years most parents found it helpful to just purchase duplicates off of their daughter’s supply lists.
School supplies may be dropped off at the front desk or to Laurie Manuel in the Library, please label them to the attention of Social Outreach so they will get to their correct destination.
Questions?? Please contact the Social Outreach Coordinator, Tess Bailey (P’12 Rachael Bennett) at tbaileybl@yahoo.com or call her at 443-562-6136. As always, we thank you for your continued generosity and support for our daughters. Have a great school year!!!
