My husband John and I celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary. We live near Solomons (Calvert County), Md. We have three children and 10 grandchildren and they all live close by. One of our grandsons, Jacob age 12, was diagnosed with Leukemia in January of 2007. He is receiving treatment and doing very well, but we need prayers for him because he has a long way to go. We thank you. I enjoy spending time with all my family and grandchildren. My years at Seton were very special to me.
Joan Schwarzkopf Shivers S’57
I feel strongly about a Christian education. We need good schools. I loved my time at Seton. I see from my 50th reunion booklet that everyone who wrote in had fond memories also. And you can see how this background in education formed the character of these women for life. I have read it four times already….I have two Christian radio stations here that I listen to….I am glad God found a Christian Senior Residence for me that goes by my income. It makes it affordable for me.

Susan Patricia Golden S'61
From all accounts, the First Annual Universal Music Day, held at the Octagon Arts Center, Clearwater, FL, as well as other venues around the world, was a heart-warming, wonder-filled event and a good start for their founders' vision of heart-centered Music and connections through Music. The performers were both professional and committed amateurs and the performances were playful to classical, new age to jazz, opera, to sacred performances and audience participation. Contact Susan—participant, artistic director, producer and founder—at UniversalMusicDay.org for more info or call 727-804-4908 to help plan next year's event. Mark your calendar for October 11, 2008.

In the past my assignments included working for the Office of the President (Clinton Administration). Also, I am a voted-in member of the Washington-Custis Daughters of American Revolution Society. Although I am not a college graduate, I can speak four languages in addition to English and thank Seton for the fabulous education I received so long ago. Had I not attended Seton, I feel as if I would not have accomplished nearly as much as I have in this life.
