Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
On behalf of the faculty and staff of Seton Keough High School: Merry Christmas and best wishes for a healthy, prosperous New Year. Seton Keough is thankful for its many blessings, most especially the young women who come to us for education, faith formation, and accompaniment from their young teenage years to womanhood. The support of our alumnae help us fulfill our mission of Sending Forth Women of Honor and keeps alive the opportunity for hundreds of young women to develop their intellectual gifts, to expand their loving hearts, and to go forth as faithful servant leaders who can make a difference in the world. Thank you for your blessings, support, and continued good wishes.

Seton Keough Celebrates 20 Years
This is a momentous year for Seton Keough and its founding orders: The School Sisters of Notre Dame and the Daughters of Charity. The School Sisters are celebrating their 175th anniversary. Blessed Mary Theresa of Jesus Gerhardinger founded the School Sisters in 1833 in Bavaria responding to the urgent needs of the poor. 2009 marks the bicentennial year that St. Elizabeth Ann Seton founded the first religious order for women in 1809 in Emmitsburg, Md. St. Elizabeth and the order she founded then opened the first free school for needy girls in the United States. Seton Keough opened its doors in the fall of 1988 after the merger of Archbishop Keough and Seton High Schools. Seton Keough will hold a commemorative Mass on Wed., January 28th during Catholic Schools’ Week to celebrate its anniversary. Time is TBA. Alumnae from all three schools are welcome. Please RSVP to Tracey Stone at (410) 646-4444, ext. 1216 or tstone@setonkeough.com so that seating may be arranged.
