The rematch will take place on the second weekend of November (date TBA). Mark your calendars now to come out and play or cheer on the teams. What's New With You?
The following alumnae have told us their “story” since the October issue of Alumlines was published. If you have not sent in an update, we’d love to hear from you. Email your “story” to tstone@setonkeough.com.
Elaine Stickler Buddenbohn S'47
I am now in a retirement community in Pennsylvania so that I may be near my two daughters (two sons are in Texas). Loving most moments of it. I love 10 grandchildren from 30 to 2—most interesting! Some of my best years were as a student at Seton and I still regularly talk to or see some of my best "buds" from S.H.S.
Susan Patricia Golden S’61
Universal Music Day 2008 was a wonderful community building event with twice as many Musicians, plus interest building nationally and international. We also coordinated a musical theme for the Art Show at the Octagon Art Center in Clearwater. I hope Seton Keough and other Alumnae will join the World Wide Sound Wave for Peace and Justice on October 10, 2009! Visit www.UniversalMusicDay.org.
Anna Kuuleimomi Johnson Aldrich K’75
I have studied, loved and created music since my early high school days. After having made a semi-professional CD about 4 years ago, I just signed a recording contract with Tate Music. Look for my CD "PAROUSIA" in stores in the spring. Isn't God good?! Don't ever give up on your dreams.
Joan Murphy Patinella K'80
I live now in Fallston and am working part-time as an occupational therapist with the State of Maryland. I am married and raising three daughters ages 10 to 18.
Kelly Konopik James K’81
Kelly graduated on October 26, 2008 from The Yoga Center of Columbia in Columbia MD as a RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) at the 200 hour level. "I am the only legally blind student to ever take the yoga teacher training, and proud to say completed the 10-month training successfully!"
Carolyn Neville K’86
I was recently chosen to attend the Delegation on Nursing in South Africa by the International Scholar Laureate Program. I was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, the International Honor Society for the two-year college in November 2007, and I currently carry a 4.0 GPA at CCBC Catonsville where I am working on completing my prerequisites for the Registered Nursing Program. Once I graduate from CCBC, I plan on transferring to Stevenson University, formerly Villa Julie College, to obtain my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Rosa Cruz K’88
My husband Jack Penafiel and I got married in April 2008 in Annapolis. Jack is an occupational therapist by trade and is the President of Van Go Senior Transport, a shuttle service for elderly and wheelchair-bound patients in Baltimore County. He is an alumnus of Loyola Blakefield High School and University of Maryland, College Park. I am Deputy Director for Communications and Marketing for the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development in Crownsville. We currently reside in Owings Mills.
Becky Novian Tubman, SK’91
I have been married for 11 years. We have two beautiful boys. We live in Maryland. In 2003, I was named Talbot County Public Schools Teacher of the Year. I recently transferred to Queen Anne County Public Schools and I am teaching second grade.
Heather Austin Reid SK’92
Heather and her husband are excited to announce the arrival of their first child John Finnian Reid. "Jack" was born on August 26, 2008 and weighed 8 lbs 7 oz and was 19.5 inches.
